Frequently Asked Questions About ADHD Coaching

Here’s the technical answer: ADHD coaching is a collaborative process that focuses on helping individuals with ADHD develop strategies for managing their symptoms and achieving personal goals. Coaches assist with areas such as time management, organization, goal setting, and problem-solving.

Here’s the answer in real-people words: Think of ADHD coaching as having a personal trainer for your brain — but without the sweating and protein shakes. I help you understand how your ADHD works and figure out what’s getting in your way, and we work together to build ADHD-friendly strategies that fit your life. No shame, no judgment — just real, practical support to help you get unstuck.

Therapy is great for working through past trauma and emotional challenges. Coaching is more focused on taking action right now. I won’t diagnose you or deep-dive into your childhood, but I will help you examine your life, your habits, your struggles, your successes, your strengths, etc. and find the right path forward for you.

Think of it as forward-focused problem-solving with a side of encouragement (and maybe the Lord of the Rings or Dungeons & Dragons reference).

My standard rate is $85 per session (with discounts for buying 4- or 8-session packages), but I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those who need financial flexibility. If cost is a concern, reach out, and we can see if a spot is available.

Nope! If you’ve ever stared at a pile of laundry like it personally offended you, forgotten why you walked into a room (again), or found yourself hyperfocusing on a completely different task than the one you absolutely needed to do … coaching can probably help. Whether you have an official diagnosis or just really relate to ADHD struggles, you’re welcome here.

We meet one-on-one via Zoom, usually once a week. You bring the struggles, and together we figure out what works for you. You’ll get support, accountability, and a judgment-free space to problem-solve in a way that fits your brain.

OK, you probably already know the answer to this, but you had to click to know for sure, right?

As you suspected, the answer is no. ADHD isn’t something to “fix” — it’s something to work with. Coaching helps you understand your brain, create ADHD-friendly systems customized to your particular mix of symptoms, interests and preferences, and build habits that actually stick. No magic wands, but we will most definitely experience some magic moments along the way!
